THE HUMAN UNDER THE HEADSET

The headset goes on. Life doesn't stop.

We answer the call while life keeps happening around us.

We carry relationships, families, grief, exhaustion, heartbreak, celebrations — and everything in between — into the center with us.

THEN THE HEADSET GOES ON.

Dispatch Unmuted exists for the person underneath it.

Dispatch Unmuted puts language to the things dispatchers carry but don't always know how to name.

It's finally having words for it.

This is a space for the human under the headset- where we talk honestly about what this work asks of us, what we carry home, and who we are when the headset comes off.

Real experiences. Real Conversations.

No pretending we're unaffected.

Life gets heavy.
We don't have to
carry it
quietly.

The heaviness after a difficult shift.

The call you can't stop thinking about.
The exhaustion that doesn't mean you hate the job.
The strange guilt of being affected by work you were fully capable of doing.

Sometimes the first step isn't fixing what you're feeling.

completely anonymous. always.

Dispatchers are trained to find the right words for everyone else. Sometimes finding the words for ourselves is harder.

Dispatch Unmuted exists to name the complicated parts of this work- the grief and pride, purpose and exhaustion, connection and isolation, humor and heaviness.

Because when someone finally puts words to something you've been carrying, something changes.

OUR MISSION

We put language to the human experience behind the headset.
